  • Being certified in Mental Health First Aid does not mean you are providing treatment. Instead, this certification equips you with the skills to identify, understand, and support your employees who may be experiencing mental health challenges. You'll learn how to recognize early warning signs, engage in supportive conversations, and guide individuals to the appropriate resources or professional help. It's about offering immediate assistance and fostering a mentally healthy workplace, not diagnosing or treating mental health conditions.

  • Being certified in Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) does not open you to lawsuits or liability because it is not a certification for diagnosing, treating, or counseling, and you are not acting as a healthcare provider. Instead, MHFA training is designed to equip individuals with the skills to recognize signs of mental health struggles and offer initial support, similar to physical first aid. The focus is on early intervention, helping individuals connect with professional resources, and providing guidance within the boundaries of your role.
